U9 HOCKEY

LSMHA U9 program is for 7 & 8 Year Old Novice Players. The U9 program follows the Hockey Manitoba Novice Program Guidelines. 
  • U9 ``A`` - Plays in the East League in the Hockey Winnipeg U9 ``A`` Division
  1. Team Names: Lord Selkirk Fishermen
  2. Amount of Teams - 1 -2 based on Registrants and interest.
  3. Roster Size - 12 skaters and 1-2 Goalies
  4. Players are Evaluated - please see evaluation page: https://www.lsmha.com/evaluations
  5. Ice slots per week - 4
  • U9 ``B`` - is a community based development program. Community`s play each other as well as a few games with Seven Oaks Minor Hockey.
  1. Team Names: Lord Selkirk Fishermen
  2. Amount of Teams - 4-6 based on Registrants
  3. Roster Size - 12-14 players - Goalies Rotate.( Max 14 skaters per team)
  4. Players are Evaluated (Placed into equal size skill teams) - please see evaluation page: https://www.lsmha.com/evaluations
  5. Ice slots per week - 2-3
